UTagger ("we", "us", "our") is a desktop software product operated by a sole trader registered in Spain. We operate the website utagger.online and sell the UTagger desktop application. For privacy enquiries, contact us at adam@translatea.com.
As a business registered in Spain and operating within the European Union, we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Spanish data protection law.
Your media files never touch our servers. UTagger is a local desktop application. All image and video analysis is performed by sending files directly from your machine to the xAI API (Grok). This connection is entirely between your device and xAI — we have no visibility into the files you process, the tags generated, or the contents of your media library.
The only data that passes through our infrastructure is your licence key validation — a single anonymised check on app launch.
Purchase data: When you buy a licence, the payment processor (Stripe) collects your email address and payment details. We receive your email address and order confirmation to deliver your licence key. We do not store credit card or bank details.
Licence validation: On app launch, the Software sends your licence key to our licence server to verify it is valid. No personal data, device identifiers, or file metadata are transmitted during this check. The response is a simple valid/invalid confirmation.
Support correspondence: If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence to handle your enquiry.
Website visits: utagger.online is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not use analytics cookies or tracking scripts.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Software and the sale thereof.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

utagger.online does not use cookies. No cookie consent banner is displayed. Netlify's hosting infrastructure may set strictly necessary technical cookies; these are not used by us for tracking or analytics.
The Software is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Licence server access is restricted and authenticated. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the limited personal data we hold.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered licence holders. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
